INAUGURATION OF KERSAINT PLEBANNEC WASTEWATER PLANT

The new wastewater treatment plant of KERSAINT PLEBANNEC has been inaugurated on the 10th of October 2014. It was a pleasure for Jean-Yves Roquinarc’h the mayor of the city to commend the success of this project.


This inauguration took place in the presence of Bernard Guérin Brest vice-prefect, Laurence Fortin (Regional Councillor responsible for Economy), Chantal Simon–Quillou (Vice-president of the regional concil responsible for environment and territories), the deputy Jean-Luc Bleunven and also Christian Calvez, Président of Abers District Council and mayor of Plouvien.


The plant capacity is 1000 EH. The water treatment line capacity is 39 m3/h with biological treatment and clarification by sedimentation. Sludge is treated on drying beds and reused for agriculture. A security lagoon ensures an additional protection for the environment. The global amount of the operation is 1 109 700 € tax included partially funded (66%) by the water agency, the regional and general council and Abers District Council.
