INAUGURATION OF GUE BLANDIN
The new drinking water treatment plant located in the city of Saint-Jacut Les Pins (56) has been inaugurated on the 25th of February 2014. It was a pleasure for the client « Eau du Morbihan », the general council of Morbihan and the president of the Concil of Saint Jacut Mr Alain HERCOUET congratulated Nantaise de Eaux Ingénierie and the companies who took part to this construction. The short delay was respected by NDEI thanks to a successful collaboration between NDEI and BEZY (civil engineer cocontractor), Eau du Morbihan, and Bourgois ensuring the consulting with the architects Gosselin and Fiévé. This construction is a refurbishment of an old plant with a “chapel” architecture, it shows a successful integration of the old and modern style.
The plant capacity of 60 m3/h with a daily production of 1 200 m3. The plant is equipped with a well (25 m3/h) and a drilling (35 m3/h). The drilling is treated by iron and manganese chemical oxidation upstream a catalytic filtration. The treatment for the well is degassing followed by remineralization on calcium carbonate. pH adjustment is performed by caustic soda and disinfection by sodium hypochlorite. Filterd backwash water, after settling in a lagoon are rejected in the natural area.
