INAUGURATION OF THE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT OF ST MARS D'OUTILLE (72)
The inauguration of the new plant was held on October 17th, 2009. The vice president of the council department and two councillors of the Sarthe department were present.
As the former plant, located near the burg, was obsolete, the town council has decided to build a new one, located farther from the burg. A better control of the flow will be ensured by a covered and deodorized storm water tank, which has been constructed on the former plant's site with an upstream pretreatment. This tank has been totally buried and its equipment have been located in a wood cabin which will fit in the further buildings.
The new plant will treat efficiently carbonaceous, nitrogen ans phosphorus pollution from raw water of 1 500 IE.
Treated water will return to the river Le Rhonne by gravity and sludge will be stabilized by draining table and re-used for agriculture.
In the end, NDEI has supplied a new modern structure, which fits to environmental current standards and respects the Ronne valley.
To quote the vice president words, "with such a plant, the town council may consider peacefully the future development of St Mars d'Outillé, which is already a very welcoming town...".
